1983年生まれ、茨城県出身。演出家・劇作家・フリーライター。早稲田大学在学中より演劇活動を開始。愛知県文化振興事業団が主催する『第13回AAF戯曲賞』、「利賀演劇人コンクール2016」優秀演出家賞、浅草キッド『本業』読書感想文コンクール優秀賞。かもめマシーンの作品のほか、手塚夏子『私的解剖実験6 虚像からの旅立ち』にはダンサーとして出演。STスポット横浜主催の「民俗芸能調査クラブ」や、演出家の集い「シンココ」などにも参加するほか、中高生向けの演劇ワークショップなども行う。
Yuta Hagiwara, born in Tokyo, is a director and playwright. He studied theatre history at Waseda University until 2006, then from 2007 he studied under the mime dancer Hironobu Oikawa, who collaborated with Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno. After graduating, Yuta Hagiwara founded his own theatre company “Kamome Machine”. His artistic perspective focuses on the relation between society and individual body.
